Fishmonger’s will be closing permanently at the close of business Sunday, November 27th. It has been a pleasure to watch Plano grow and change over the last forty one years. We’ve seen the children of 1981 bring in their children and grandchildren Now it’s time to enjoy the next stage of our lives. We will remember all of you who we’ve come to know and love in this wonderful Fishmongers Family! Thank you all for supporting us all these years.

We are from Forney and discovered your restaurant a Lil over 4 years ago. You instantly became our favorite fish places to go and would make a few trips Anniversaries and Birthdays. And usually would have Gary as our host. It's been about 6 months so we will be making a trip this weekend. And your awesome food and service will truly be missed by us.
Please send me your Dutch mussel pot recipe ❤️ Thanks for always being such a great place with awesome food and service!! I think I’ve eaten at nearly all the location moves since living in Dallas, cheers!!
wow! best of luck in the future. we are one of the families who made your restaurant a regular spot over decades we will miss you.
Fishmonger’s will be sorely missed by me and by so many! There’s a reason you lasted 4 decades in an industry where the average life span is a fraction of that – great food and great people (those who work there and your loyal customers). Personally, I’m at a loss as to where to meet up with old friends and where to go to get great seafood. Thank you for the memories and good times!!
Thanks for everything. Here’s to the memories, and here’s to your well deserved retirement! We will miss you!!!
I’m sure Rod is looking down on this and being very grateful that his lots of great memories for the Stegimgfamily, family made it back to Fishmongers before it closed.
We moved here in 1989. We LOVED your restaurant! It was our special place to meet family! Really sorry to see you go. 😞 But enjoy your retirement! ❤️
Thanks for all of the birthday and anniversary celebrations. We started going to Fishmonger’s at the first location SO many years ago.
Sad to see you close – had many good meals there over the years! Blessings and good luck in your future!!
I’ve spent many hours at Fishmongers, working with great people (now friends) and then just enjoying delicious food and company. The red beans and rice and bread pudding have made it hard to enjoy those dishes elsewhere as they just aren’t as good. Fishmongers will be missed!
Lots of great memories made while dining there with you! Enjoy your retirement!
I’m glad Ron is in one photo. He did so much building on the earlier restaurants!
Thank you for serving our community for all these years! All the best to the Fishmonger’s family in your next chapters in life.
I went there for lunch today to I have Blackened Ponchatrain one last time. I have been eating there since 1996 and I’ve never ordered anything other than the Ponchatrain. Well, that and the crab stuffed mushrooms and bread pudding. I’m having withdrawals already. Best of luck. You will be missed.
The Quinlan, Browne & Hall families went there quite frequently in the 80’s! So much fun!! Thank you for all the memories! Good luck to your future endeavors!
Y’all have been awesome… not just the food and drinks, but the atmosphere and family you built. No place can replicate this. I appreciate all you’ve done as owners, even when we didn’t realize the trials you were going through. And I appreciate you now … trying to accommodate all us “regulars” who stood by you no matter what. We are all dumbfounded by what to do next. 🤗💕🍻
I’ll miss the best seafood in N Texas. Best of luck to your family
Good luck with your next chapter.
You will be missed. Definitely a favorite spot to dine. Best wishes on your retirement

So sorry to see ya go… We have loved our times at Fishmonger's and it will be sorely missed Enjoy retirement
Been with y'all since 1992. So many wonderful memories and yummy food. Thank you both and best of luck in this next chapter of your lives! Always love y'all! ❤️
Going to miss you guys! Best wishes moving forward!
We moved here over 30 years ago and Fishmongers was the first restaurant recommended to us. Great recommendation. We enjoyed many meals there. Best wishes!
Although I can’t imagine how bitter sweet this must be for you, Jim & family, but congrats on y’all’s retirement! 🎉👏🏻🥰❤️
Hope you all are having a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We stopped in today to say our goodbyes. The staff there are great people. The food was awesome as it always has been.
Thanks for all the memories!
Do y’all still have etouffee?
Open for lunch tomorrow?
A blast from Fishmongers past! some photos from the early 80s and from some of the employees back then who were influential in Fishmongers success!!! There are so many more after that but they were there in the beginning! … See MoreSee Less
It is with a heavy heart and great reluctance we have to say goodbye to Fishmonger's. The food and service were always excellent! Kudos to Gary (our favorite waiter) for the great care that we received from him. Of course, we never had a bad meal/night at Fishmonger's. All god things must come to an end, however, should there be a reprieve. I hope someone will let us know. It shall be damn near impossible to find another Crawfish etouffee that is as better than homemade with its authentic spicy, dark roux and loaded with crawfish tails that I will be having an awful craving for a very lengthy time. I hope that possibly Fishmonger's would possibly share their recipe with me. So, in the words of the author, Douglas Adams, "So Long and Thanks for all the Fish". I wish everyone there much happiness and success in their endeavors whatever they maybe and wherever it may take them. Good luck and best wishes! – Don Magee
Awesome!!! Best 4 years of my late teenage years!!! ❤
No pics of Greg and Shawn?
I've been eating there since I moved here in 1988 and love the food. Especially the fried oysters, dutch mussel pot and shrimp tortilla soup. I would love the tortilla soup recipe so I can make it at home. The flavor of the broth is so wonderful. You will be missed
A lot of good food eaten at all their locations since 1981. Family meals, lunch with coworkers, Friday Lenten meals, and date night and lunches with my late husband. I loved their fried shrimp, cole slaw and fries❤️❤️❤️ Great memories
Saw it all ! 🐟 🐠 🎣 Great success from the start !
Great times!!! Happy to see the continued success!!!!
Our favorite… Our children loved the FISH TANK too !

Great place, not sure how long we have been coming to Fishmongers but Leslie Cherryholmes son was about 1 year old. Remember the French fry milkshake Greg Langeloh?
